I keep losing, but I don't care

Portland is great to us. We're playing tons of board games and spending all our time with family.

All three games did not go well for me today. We finished our Hand & Foot game from last night, which McKay and I lost (because we play in teams, and McKay and I are always on the same team). Then, McKay beat everyone at Merchants & Marauders and McKenna was the winner in Acquire. I had a blast, regardless of how well I fared in each game and regardless of the game we were playing.

Rich had a much better day. He was happy and smiley and responded well to my mom and Dennis and everyone. McKenna said today, “When you look him straight on, you can just tell that Rich is such a handsome kid.” And the crazy thing is that he’s a toddler now! He’s one year old! It kind of just hit me tonight that Karen and I successfully made it through year one, which is mind-boggling. We went through so much as a family in one year. Very, very challenging, but astoundingly rewarding.
