Statistics, not scripture

I was so very nervous about teaching today. I’m used to teaching the gospel (at the Missionary Training Center in Provo several years ago), so statistics is an entirely different ball game for me. But with my experience in statistics—and since we started simple—it really wasn’t too bad. I think maybe everyone is more reserved during the first week of classes, so I didn’t get a lot of questions. As time goes on, I’m positive they’ll get braver and more comfortable.

But it went well! I feel like all three sections were a success. It was odd teaching three classes today and learning in only one, but...that’s my job now. The strangest part about all of it was being treated like an instructor: students coming up to me after class with questions and treating me like an authority figure, that kind of thing. It was kind of cool, but mostly it will take some getting used to.
