Why ice cream beats the internet

After more than three hours on the phone over a 24-hour period, our computers are finally able to connect to the internet. For some reason all devices except our laptops were able to connect last night.

I talked to Comcast as soon as I found out about the problem and they didn’t know what to do, so they suggested I call Apple. This morning I talked to Apple and they didn’t know what to do, so they suggested I call Netgear because it sounded like a network problem. Apple was right. While I was charged $80 ($40 per computer) to essentially update the firmware and somewhat reconfigure the network, it was totally worth it to keep the internet running smoothly. And now that it is, we are very happy and feel much better...though that might be due in part to a pint of Häagen-Dazs cookie dough ice cream. (Since that’s my favorite ice cream in all the world—that brand, that flavor—I know it will always make me feel better.)
