My good friend Ben Crowder, and a cool font

My good friend Ben Crowder has a fantastic blog and website that I keep up with regularly. He is always up to speed on technology and programming and at the same time has great things to say about being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He contributes more to the LDS community as a whole with his epublications of various Mormon works than I can perhaps comprehend, and his website is worth checking out.

Anyway, he posted recently about a font that Adobe just released (Source Sans Pro), and he gave the link for downloading it, which is here. I've been using the font, and I gotta say I really like it. Just felt like posting about it, for those who happen to be interested in typography.

$1.27 of backward postage

I finally visited the post office to retrieve a package that has waited for me for about a week. It’s a new cell phone battery for my five year old phone. While most people today are trying to upgrade to smart phones and jazzy tech of all sorts, I have no interest in getting rid of a phone that keeps working and that doesn’t require a data plan. I am happy with phone calls and texting, the functions of a true phone. I’m certain one day I’ll have to upgrade to something, but for now all I need is a slightly longer lasting battery.

I don’t want to give any Amazon seller a bad review because I want good reviews myself and I know how valuable they are, but the person who sold me this battery didn’t put enough postage on the envelope and I ended up having to give around $1.27 to the postal worker for him to hand me what I already paid for. That seems really backward to me, so I need to say something about it to this seller.

...I just hate giving bad reviews.
