Bill, my stats teacher, seems like a generally serious guy. Until yesterday morning, I'd never seen him smile.

He was in his office. I go to Janice’s office almost every morning to check on some answers to some calculus problems, but I saw that Bill was there, so I hurried up with Janice and got to Bill to ask a few questions before heading to class. At the very least, I got to connect with my professor, but I also got a few questions answered about preparing well for the quizzes and exams. He’s a really neat guy, finishing up his doctorate here in about three weeks. He talked about his dissertation and having the doctor title halfway through our semester. Lit up about that. Pretty cool.
