A spiritually fortifying experience

The Church's annual general conference has been wonderful so far. One speaker said there is a difference between being active in the Church and being active in the gospel, and I like that. Discipleship is not as much where you are as it is who you are. I also really appreciated the comments from Elder Holland on rejoicing in others’ successes and blessings. After losing a job and having some other significant issues recently, it’s easy to look at others and ask, “Why not me?”. But it’s so important to realize that we are all in this together. As Elder Holland pointed out, we are in a race against sin, not each other.

Anyway. That's what immediately struck me. I get 100 times more out of conference when I reread it later, so I look forward to that.

  1. Those 2 talks really resonated with me also. Can't wait to hear more.

    1. Since we missed the priesthood session, I'm watching those talks throughout the next several days, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I don't know if you ever read or watch those, but those are usually my favorites overall.

  2. Yeah. I get much more out of the talks when I can watch/listen to/reread each talk bit by bit, one at a time.

    Love you.

    1. And as you know, I'm a visual learner, so seeing the text makes it stick better.
